Logo Design - Manga

Manga is the Japanese term for comics. As my personal art style aligns with anime and manga, I use the term 'manga' to describe my personal comic projects. I feel very ffortunate that I can apply my graphic design skills to create engaging logos and emblems for titles, organizations, and characters within my manga!

These read "Ginsuisei Annai Gaisha" in Japanese. In English, it means, "Silver Comet Guide Services".

Logo Design - Video Game

An item on my graphic design wishlist is to create marketing art for a video game, including the logo. So, for a self-initiated video game logo project, I started with the concept and title. “Knights of Arhildr” would be a fantasy JRPG with sci-fi elements. It takes place in a kingdom that builds on the seas, and the story would center on a group of knights who operate in this kingdom.

With this in mind, I designed a graphic that would serve as the knights’ emblem. I wanted it to be elaborate and to incorporate a sword to represent the knights and an anchor to represent their kingdom on the sea.

As for colours, I settled on blue-greens and yellow-green to show the presence of water in the characters’ lives and in the story, and to veer away from the typical blue hues. For the text, I used the typeface Cinzel Decorative by Natanael Gama as a base, and customized some of the letterforms.

All in all, this was a seriously fun project! I learned a lot about JRPG logo trends from studying references and putting the logo together. I'm eager to explore more logo design opportunities in the future!

Streaming Graphics

For a personal project, I designed graphics for figurative YouTube and Twitch streamers, exploring different branding styles such as cute, techy, fantasy, and street style. These graphics were intended for use in their channel headers and profile sections.

Typography and Graphic Elements

The following samples show my experiments with opacity, layering, textures, outlines, brushes, and other techniques to create graphic elements that enhance the character illustrations and the overall style of the manga. These elements contribute to the images' depth and visual interest, with a high-contrast, futuristic, and street style aesthetic.

Book Layout

I also use my graphic design background to work on cover design, inner page design, font selection, and typesetting. These elements are crucial in creating a high-quality printed manga volume!
